The house

A historic house restored with restraint.

Maroyda is not styled to feel generic or newly built. Its beams, stone surfaces, preserved objects, and room sequence still read as a real house with a long memory.

Three centuries / one home

Age remains visible.
That is the point.

01

The house has stood in Panagia since 1707, in one of the most atmospheric villages on Thassos. Its position in the village ties the experience to the mountain landscape as much as to the sea.

02

During restoration, the goal was not to erase age but to keep it visible: exposed timber, textured stone, preserved family pieces, and rooms that still feel domestic rather than hotel-like.

03

That is one of the defining strengths of Maroyda Stonehouse. It offers comfort, but the comfort never flattens the character.
